Perturbation training: Underlying principles and clinical evidence

In this webinar you will learn about the use of mechanical perturbations using a 6 degrees of freedom movable platform and split-belt treadmill.

By manipulating the walking surface while measuring responses in terms of stepping parameters or kinematic changes, fall risk can be evaluated and targeted training protocols can be offered. During this webinar human movement researchers from Maastricht University in the Netherlands will present their work on the underlying principles and clinical evidence on the use of perturbations for fall prevention.
