The CAREN system and the D-flow control software include implementations of non-linear dynamics and deterministic
algorithms that provide us with effective quantitative descriptors of the behavior of postural control and balance strategies. CAREN introduces a new measure, which allows determining the structure of posturographic compensation signals and to measure and quantify the effect of the loss of visual feedback information in postural control. Reliable and sensitive measure of the complexity of balance compensation signals assists in early diagnostics of balance anomalies and balance loss. CAREN can be used for the evaluation of postural stability and its changes due to pathology or an age-related decline
