Orthopedic Diagnostics
MOTEK Medical technology can assist in the diagnosis and categorization of several orthopedics related conditions such as: back pain, whiplash, lumbar and cervical disc disease, foot, ankle and knee injuries, frozen shoulder, arthritis, and osteoporosis. Also in cases of Diabetic foot conditions the systems can measure the severity of the situation, register and record performance related feedback to specific balance perturbations and classify conditions.

Using for example the CAREN or the V-Gait system and the CAREN Software, the therapist can obtain valuable data regarding the stage and state of the situation and recommend the treatment and rehabilitation trajectories to be taken

This also relates to sports Injuries: Diagnosis leading to recommendations of pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, sprains and strains, patello-femoral dysfunction, rotator cuff injuries, tennis elbow (epicondylitis), and other orthopedic motion related injuries

In some cases early diagnosis of such conditions can point also to Neurological Disorders: headaches, pinched Nerves, balance problems, gait training, peripheral nerve injuries and possible proprioceptive deficits.

Applicable to using MOTEK Medical systems with integrated treadmills and acquiring data from the patients in the real world via motion capture technology, The CAREN system and the D-flow control software can detect gait variations. Real time analysis of gait deviations comparing with normative data and output of visual and numeric offsets from optimum, enable early detection of gait anomalies and suggests training protocols to the rehabilitation therapists.
