MOTEK Medical technology is used to treat people with the following impairments: Dual/multi task. Motor perceptual.Balance & post adj. Proprioception. Functional Strengthening Weight shift, Weight bearing, Precision of movement and Dizziness.
Among the patient populations that benefit from clinical work done with CAREN are: CVA / stroke patients, TBI and Ataxia patients, Parkinson’s and MS patients and people suffering from neglect.

CVA / STROKE rehabilitation
Each year, more than 1 million people in world suffer from a stroke, or cerebrovascular accident (CVA).
Many cerebrovascular patients have cognitive (thinking) and physical challenges, which require re-learning skills which were automatic before their cerebrovascular accident. MOTEK Medical systems create and apply individualized treatment programs for each CVA patient based on their temporal state.
Using the CAREN system, integrated reality treatment programs are used; those include aspects of physical therapy, occupational therapy, dual tasking, cognitive training and balance training.
Recovery can be long term and requires patient involvement in goal setting and goal achievement.
The CAREN software is used to create a plan that meets the patient's specific needs and goals of the individual and the therapist.
