Erwin Albers - Product Development and Support
Erwin's background is in Human kinetic technology and Human movement science, Erwin did his graduation project at MOTEK in the subject of transfer between VR user experience and Physical reality. After graduation, Erwin joined MOTEK full time.
Erwin currently is in charge of product development and support, Content creation for VR , System installations and client communication protocols. Erwin is also engaged in training users that are working with MOTEK medical's software platforms
Peter Bakker - Programming
Peter is a software developer working for Motek since 2006. After studying Physics at the University of Amsterdam, in 2001 he started working as a software developer for global publishing company focusing on internet technology.
In 2006, his passion for virtual reality led him to work at Motek.
Peter is currently engaged in the development of patient management systems and interactive VR software tools.
Ali Benyahia - Office management and financial administration
Ali graduated in Business Economics (HES Amsterdam) and joined MOTEK at 2000
Ali is managing financial day-to-day operations, Accounts payable/receivable dept. and reporting to management/stockholders
Ali also is in charge of the support Sales office, the support Contracting office and HRM (financial)
Ton Van Den Bogert - HBM programming
Ton's main background is in Biomechanics of Human Movement, he is also an associate staff member at the department of biomedical engineering of the Lerner Research institute.
Ton has Joined MOTEK for the development and realization of the HBM (Human Body Model) project, enabling realtime 3D visualization of muscle forces and joint torques in the human body.
Esther Buur - Product development and CAREN Operator
Ing. Esther Buur, graduated in July 2006 from the Human Kinetic Technology department of the University of The Hague. Esther Joined Motek Medical since October 2006 and active in product development of Motek Medical’s various products. Since April 2007, she is also active as part time CAREN system operator for the Militairy Rehabiltation Center Aardenburg, Doorn, The Netherlands.
Tessa Frunt - Product support and CAREN Operator
Ing. Tessa Frunt, graduated in July 2006 from the Human Kinetic Technology department of the University of The Hague. Esther Joined Motek Medical since October 2006 and active in product development of Motek Medical’s various products. Since April 2007, she is also active as part time CAREN system operator for the Militairy Rehabiltation Center Aardenburg, Doorn, The Netherlands.
Thomas Geijtenbeek - Lead programming
Thomas Geijtenbeek – Lead Software Development
Drs. Thomas Geijtenbeek graduated in 2003 from Artificial Intelligence at the University of Amsterdam. For his thesis, he developing an improved method for model based face recognition.
Already before that (since September 2000), Thomas had been working part-time for Motek, doing software design and development on various projects. Part of his work includes Unica (a real time animation blending client), Gaia (a tool for prosthetic analysis that uses motion blending) and the development of an algorithm for balancing a stick on a motion platform.
In 2004, Thomas became a full-time employee. As of 2005, he is in charge of all software design and development at Motek Medical. He is currently focusing on the continuous improvement of the CAREN D-Flow software and the supervision of all future coding activities.
Barry Hes - COO
Barry Hes(Ph.D) is in Robotica, with extensive knowledge in engineering, Barry worked from 2007 till 2009 as the Production Manager at Isodose Control . Prior to that he was the Service and Production Manager at Frog AGV Systems In parallel Barry bult up marketing and management skills in various courses during his previous work.
Barry joined Motek in the role of COO from January 2009 and is in charge of product development, New technology engineering and supporting sales for special projects.
Hubert Van Onna Sales and Marketing
Hubert (1945) MOTEK Medical's Department Marketing and Sales. Hubert, a seasoned marketeer and IT-veteran. In particular active in business development and start-up operations in new geographical areas.
Elisabeth (Els) Wessels - Sales and Marketing USA
Elisabeth joined Motek Medical in 2008 and is responsible for Sales and Marketing North America. Elisabeth started her career with the Ministry of Education where she led financial operations on key educational initiatives and priorities. She holds two undergraduate degrees and a masters degree at the University of Twente and the Erasmus University Rotterdam in The Netherlands.
Elisabeth is founder and owner of Eidolon Strategy, in 2000 she joined LogicaCMG, a global operating services firm in ICT-consultancy, system integration and outsourcing. She directed marketing and sales campaigns to promote technology solutions to assist government entities with centralizing management of data and communications. As a program manager and managing consultant she was responsible for the implementation of large ICT projects in the e-Government field.
Elisabeth is based in Washington DC.
Gerben Van Der Werf -Project control and sales Europe
Gerben joined Motek Medical in 2008 and is responsible for Sales and Marketing in Europe. Prior to joining MOTEK, Gerben was the project controller at ThyssenKrupp from 2004.
Gerben holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University in Delft.
